Peer Review Reflective Statement

I believe that this project has challenged me to think a lot more conceptually, thinking about wider issues in which I would like to explore. Initially I looked at work that played around with context which sparked some ideas about the 'leak' between the two technologies, however most of my inspiration came from N. Katherine Hayles' "How We Became Posthuman", as well as the human genome code at the Wellcome Collection. I have quite an extensive collection of secondary research that relates to my work from galleries, artists and current experiments which I think is evident in my experiments, that equally ask thought provoking questions about how long the two technologies will remain separate, if indeed they still are. I feel that some of my research is a little random as I digressed and explored doppelgangers, however I feel it is still relevant in that it showed the possibilities of using technology to replicate the human genome code, and therefore the interlock of the two technologies. Throughout the blog I have reflected on my work and progress, making notes and speculations on ideas, however I do not believe I have enough sketches after the initial ones, (although I'm not too sure that they would be relevant) nor do I have enough feedback from others. More experimentation is needed, however what there is is quite experimental and relevant media has been used to explore my chosen themes, for example the computer programme that I created, which fully embraces technology, and converting the genome code into binary. I think to move forward with the project I need to continue with more refined experimentation, continuing to use the human genome code as this sits squarely between the two technologies.
