Ivan Ebel is a Visual artist from Switzerland. His latest work "Visible/Invisible" reflects on the physical and symbolic body and how they are represented. He paints the exterior physical body from oil in an almost photorealistic manner then applies minimal, sparse graphic lines to form the organs. The juxtaposition of form and application explores why the internal and external elements to our bodies are portrayed in such contrasting ways. There are some ideas in Ebel's work that are similar to my own, questioning information and how it is presented. His images are visually striking and exciting, able to easily and clearly convey their message.
